Adult Counselling
The majority of people seeking counselling in our community are adults. Many have counselling or funds for counselling provided by their workplaces. The Aulneau Renewal Centre welcomes those adults who do not have such benefits and are often unable to afford the cost of counselling. These are individuals who may have suffered long-term unemployment, experience social isolation or have chronic physical and emotional challenges. The sliding fee scale at the Aulneau Renewal Centre makes counselling possible for these individuals.
The adult counsellors have tailored their methods of practice to help those who have chronic issues attain a better quality of life. The counselling approach builds problem-solving skills and teaches clients to mobilize their resources. The end result is not only that challenging issues are diminished, but individuals become more active in the community, living more fulfilled lives.
