Satellite Programs
We offer services to Eastman and Interlake Child and Family Services. Our counsellors travel to Steinbach, Beausejour, Pine Falls, Lac Du Bonnet and surrounding areas as well as to Serlkirk, Stonewall and Gimli.
The focus of this program has been to preserve families that are at risk of having a child placed in foster care. The focus has been on two particular age groups: 1) young mothers with pre-school children in need of attachment intervention and 2) parents and teens in conflict. Additionally, counselling and support has been provided to children in foster care and their parents or foster parents.
This partnership between the Aulneau Renewal Centre and the Eastman and Interlake Child and Family Services agencies gives new meaning to the idea of “meeting the client where she/he is at”. Providing counselling in the home and community contexts has been effective in that therapists are providing intervention at a grass roots level.

In the satellite programs, Aulneau therapists often share office space with Child and Family Service Workers. As a result, there is more opportunity to interface and work together with families. Families are able to recover and resolve their issues faster as they receive joint, unified support from both protection worker and therapist.
